The Necessary Things

Normally I don't go for the fake meat products, but occasionally I will try one out. This past week I picked up some Tofurkey Philly Style Steak.
Pan fried with onion, green pepper, and mushrooms it's actually really convincing. And since it's nearly impossible to find vegan buns, I cut almost through a thick slice of bread and just stuffed the goodness in there and baked it til the bread was toasted and the Daiya mozzarella was melty.

When I describe what I had for a late lunch today, a confused stare is the usual response. The spicy peanut wrap is basically a copy of a popular dish served at The Quiet Storm. It's just scrambled tofu, peanut butter, spinach, raisins, and hot sauce. They put cucumbers in it too, but I don't bother.
Everyone's method for making scrambled tofu is different, but I tend to mix in some mustard powder, chili powder, garlic, turmeric, minced onion, and a handful of nutritional yeast. And look what deliciousness ensues.

My only other excitement for the day was receiving this in the mail ...

which I shall dive into ................... Now!
